Greenspoke is proud to have supported the sustainable transportation efforts of many communities across Canada and the United States with its high-quality bike parking and repair solutions in 2024. This year, Greenspoke completed several noteworthy projects that help to promote cycling culture and enhance urban mobility. Here are a few that we would like to highlight as we look back on the year!
C.D. Howe Building – Ottawa, Ontario
The C.D. Howe Building, located in Ottawa, is a hub of business activity. As part of an effort to promote alternative commuting options, the client installed a range of bike racks to provide bike parking for staff in the building. These bike racks offer a mix of function and style that ensure safe and secure bike parking for 104 bikes. With the C.D. Howe Building now equipped with these high-quality bike parking solutions, the building is setting a benchmark for sustainable community in Ottawa’s dense urban environment.

Mississauga City Centre – Mississauga, Ontario
Recognizing the importance of bike infrastructure in the community, Mississauga’s City Centre incorporated four of Greenspoke’s bike repair stations into public spaces. These bike repair stations are designed to be both user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing, seamlessly blending with the urban landscape. By enhancing accessibility to biking infrastructure, Mississauga City Centre is encouraging more residents to opt for bicycling as a viable and eco-friendly mode of transportation.

Warren Woods Community Centre – Scarborough, Ontario
The Warren Woods Community Centre has been supporting local residents through their programs for seniors, children, and families, as well as community development initiatives for more than 50 years. To align with their sustainability goals, they wanted a custom solution to encourage biking and make eco-friendly transportation more accessible to the community. Greenspoke created beautiful, functional, and secure custom bike racks for the community centre. The bold colours are visually pleasing and attract cyclists to use them, and the custom leaf shape helps to promote their sustainability goals.

At Greenspoke, we are excited to play a role in shaping the future of sustainable transportation. If you’re looking to incorporate cycling infrastructure into your own community or building, please don’t hesitate to contact our team. We look forward to enhancing more community spaces in the year ahead!
